Depawsit is an early-stage company. We don't have thousands of users or a finished product yet. What we have is a clear problem to solve and a free tool that's already helping people understand what they're in for.

The problem we're working on

Pet care costs are unpredictable — and most owners aren't financially ready when something goes wrong. An unexpected diagnosis, an emergency room visit, a dental procedure: these aren't rare events, but most households have no plan for them.

That gap between the cost of loving a pet and having the money to care for one is what Depawsit is trying to close.

Most pet owners have no dedicated savings for pet care, no visibility into what care will realistically cost over a pet's lifetime, and no simple place to build toward that goal.

What we're building

We started with a free tool: the Pet Care Readiness Check. It gives owners a personalized estimate of what care may cost — by breed, age, weight, region, and care pattern — along with a suggested monthly savings target and emergency reserve recommendation.

That's live now. It's free. No account needed.

The next step is purpose-built savings and spending tools — a dedicated place to set aside money for pet care, and when the time comes, spend it only on approved pet-care merchants.

How we think

• Honesty over hype We're early. We don't overclaim. When something isn't built yet, we say so clearly.
• Useful before perfect The estimator launched before we had accounts, billing, or a backend. That's by design — get something valuable in front of people first.
• Your money is always yours Whatever we build will always include a clear path for users to access their funds. Non-negotiable.
• Clear about what we are (and aren't) Depawsit is not a bank. Any future banking or payment features would be provided through a licensed banking partner.
