Depawsit, Inc. is a Delaware corporation operating the website at depawsit.com ("the Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and your choices. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.
2. Scope
This policy applies to the current version of the Service: the free Pet Care Readiness Check, the early-access waitlist, and the informational website. Depawsit does not currently offer bank accounts, payment cards, or financial services. No financial account data, payment card numbers, or Social Security numbers are collected.

3b. Information collected automatically
We do not use cookies for tracking or advertising purposes. We use Plausible for analytics — a privacy-first platform that collects no personal data and uses no cookies. Standard web server logs may capture IP addresses and browser type as part of normal server operation. These are not used for profiling or advertising.
4. How we use your information
- To send you a confirmation email when you join the waitlist
- To send you your cost estimate if you request it by email
- To send product updates and early access notifications (you can unsubscribe anytime)
- To respond to advisor, partner, and contact inquiries
- To understand aggregate demand and usage patterns (looked at in aggregate, not per individual)
- To operate, maintain, and improve the Service
We do not use your personal information for advertising. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third-party marketers.

We do not share your data with any other third parties except as required by law.

This website contains links to third-party websites, including research reports and resources (for example, PetSmart Charities' Halup State of Pet Care study and similar industry references). These links are provided for informational purposes only. Depawsit has no control over, and accepts no responsibility for, the content or privacy practices of any external site. Those sites may use cookies or tracking tools subject to their own policies. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any external site you visit.
7. Data retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your waitlist entry is active or as needed to fulfill the purposes described above. You may request deletion at any time (see Section 9).
8. Security
Your data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted on Replit's managed infrastructure. We use standard access controls and do not store passwords (there are no user accounts at this stage). No system is perfectly secure. If you discover a security issue, please contact us at hello@depawsit.com.
9. Your rights and choices
- Unsubscribe: Reply to any email we send with "unsubscribe" or click the unsubscribe link (included in all marketing emails)
- Access or deletion: Email privacy@depawsit.com to request a copy of your data or to have it deleted. We will respond within 5 business days.
- Correction: Email us if any information we hold is inaccurate
10. Children
The Service is intended for users 18 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has submitted personal data, we will delete it promptly.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. For material changes (especially if we launch financial account features), we will notify waitlist members by email before the changes take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
