No — depawsit isn't insurance. Insurance reimburses certain costs after the fact, with premiums, deductibles, and exclusions. depawsit is a planning tool that helps you estimate your pet's costs and set your own money aside so you're ready for them. The two can work side by side.
Not exactly. Some people may think of depawsit in a similar way — setting money aside ahead of time for care-related expenses — but depawsit is not a Health Savings Account, does not provide HSA tax benefits, and is not connected to human healthcare or insurance eligibility rules.
