How we think about trust.
We're an early-stage company, which means we have an opportunity to build trust the right way from the start. This page explains clearly what Depawsit is, what data we collect, how we use it, and what we don't do.
The short version: We collect your email and first name when you join the waitlist. We use Resend to send you email. We don't sell your data, share it with advertisers, or hold any financial assets. That's it for now.
What Depawsit is (and isn't)
Depawsit, Inc. is a Delaware corporation building financial readiness tools for pet owners. Right now, that means a free cost estimator and a waitlist.
We are not a bank. We are not an insurance company. We do not hold, manage, or invest any user funds. The Pet Care Readiness Check produces estimates for planning purposes only — they are not financial advice.
Important: we don't hold your money
Depawsit currently collects no financial information and holds no user funds. If we launch savings or spending features in the future, any banking or payment services would be provided through a licensed banking partner — not by Depawsit, Inc. directly. We will communicate this clearly before any such feature launches.
What data we collect today
The only data we collect is what you voluntarily provide:
- Waitlist signups: your email address, first name (optional), pet name and type (optional), ZIP code (optional), and your answers to the interest questions in the signup form
- Estimator inputs: pet type, breed, age, weight, ZIP code, and care preferences — used to calculate your estimate. These are not stored unless you join the waitlist or request an emailed estimate.
- Advisor and partner inquiries: name, email, and message content you submit through those forms
We do not collect payment card data, bank account information, Social Security numbers, or any other financial or government-issued identifiers at this stage.
How we use your data
- To send you a confirmation email when you join the waitlist
- To email your estimate if you request it
- To contact you about product updates and early access (you can unsubscribe anytime)
- To respond to advisor and partner inquiries
- To understand aggregate demand (how many signups, which regions, which pet types) — we look at this in aggregate, not per person
We do not use your data for advertising. We do not build targeting profiles. We do not sell or rent your information to anyone.

We don't use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any ad-tracking scripts.
How to delete your data
To have your waitlist entry or any other personal data removed, email us at privacy@depawsit.com. We will delete your information within 5 business days and confirm when it's done.
Security
Our application runs on Replit's managed infrastructure. Data is stored in a PostgreSQL database. Email addresses in our waitlist are stored with standard database protections. We do not store passwords (there are no accounts at this stage).
No system is perfectly secure, and we won't claim otherwise. If you discover a security issue, please report it to hello@depawsit.com.
Changes to this page
If we change what data we collect or how we use it in a meaningful way, we'll update this page and note the date of the change. For major changes (like launching an account product), we'll notify waitlist members directly.
